Discuss some of the reasons offered in the Psalms for long-term optimism

There are many lesson that could be learnt from Psalms. 1)Sovereignty. 2) Hierarchy. 3)Law. 4) Sanctions. 5) things that are going to happen in the Future. Optimism means ‘The opinion or doctrine that everything in nature is ordered for the best’.

The optimism that we could learn from Sovereignty, is that the Lord God is the governor of all nations; He is the supreme ruler, and that everyone should worship Him and He only. The optimism that we could learn from Hierarchy is that no kingdom could stand if they are fighting each other; if you have Lord on your side, then you could be very successful in being the governor, but as soon as you take His judgement as yours then you are going to fail miserably.

The optimism that we could learn from the Lord’s Laws is that they are high standard Laws; if you could not keep his commandments, then you won’t be able to keep his laws, and if you could not keep his laws then you won’t be able to receive his guidance and blessings as well as you could of; meaning that the Lord’s governs us with His Laws. The optimism that we could learn from Sanctions is that the Lord can give authority to his chosen one that He has chosen to do specific things to allow His presents in, for example a Prophet of the Lord has the authority to dedicate a Temple unto the Lord.

The optimism that we could learn from the Future, is that we could only prepare for the future and that the Lord could reveal unto us something that is going to happen in the future, and if means bad news for us then we need to repent of our wrong doings so that the Lord would not bring to pass what he had foretold us. The city of Nineveh was foretold that it would get destroyed, but because of the people’s repentance, they were not destroyed. If the Lord told us that something is going to happen then it might be a good ideal to not stop it from happening because someone thought that they could stop it but that leads to it to happen, although it might happen regardless, unless the Lord tells us to do something about it.
